Sunsets across America

This was the sunset above us when we were in Austin on one of the last nights before we started the Lower 48 in 48 Tour. I took it as a blessing that we would be watched over and kept safe.

When we were in Denver, I took advantage of two consecutive good weather days and took a road trip west across the Rockies to visit one of my mom's best friends, Sugar and her husband Rocco. Sugar had a serious health scare within the year and I wanted to see how she was recovering with my own two eyes. When I got to her house, she RAN out the front door to greet me. Then she drove me to the top of the Colorado National Monument to see this sunset. I'd say she had recovered just fine!

Our first sunset in Missouri. We had a great western view from our dining room window in spot #28, so the Show Me State did just that upon our arrival.

While we were in Michigan I had to travel to Portland, Oregon to attend the funeral of my uncle Wayne. Mike remained with the dogs and the coach in South Haven. This was the sunset he saw on the evening of the funeral.

What a SUPER COOL section to your blog. Maybe it is the OKIE coming out in me (or the fact that hot pink is my fave color) but that Tulsa, OK sunset photo you captured is frame worthy!!!!
    Others I loved are:
    Exeter, Rhode Island
    Ozona, FL
    Kinston, NC
    Santa Fe, NM (of course)
    Cottonwood, AZ
