When we were in Denver, I took advantage of two consecutive good weather days and took a road trip west across the Rockies to visit one of my mom’s best friends, Sugar and her husband Rocco. Sugar had a serious health scare within the year and I wanted to see how she was recovering with my own two eyes. When I got to her house, she RAN out the front door to greet me. Then she drove me to the top of the Colorado National Monument to see this sunset. I’d say she had recovered just fine!
